Road Trip

Saturday, December 6, 2003

Today we took a leisurely journey through northeast Washington to visit with our new friends Bruce and Marianne Zelinski of Kindred Pyrz.

The four hour drive took us through Spokane, then north along scenic 395.
We crossed the Columbia River at Kettle Falls.

Through the Colville National Forest...

...past scenes of The 1988 White Mountain Fire...

and over Sherman Pass at 5,575 ft.

The directions lead us off the highway, down a gravel road, and onto this dirt road.

Yup. We're lost.

Bruce came and found us. We were close. Had I have followed the directions exactly...
"Turn left when you see six mailboxes". One more mile, and there they were. ;-)

This is Bruce with "Katch", the sire.

This is "Angel", the dam. She wasn't too happy about my camera.

Time to meet the P's. It was love at first sight.

Pick of the litter. After some paperwork, and some fond farewells, a long drive home.
We had clear skies under a bright full moon. Thank you Lord for lighting the way.

Pit stop. Tried to go for a walk. All they want to do is play.

Home again, safe and sound, and all tuckered out. (Me, that is.)
All the puppies want to do is play.

Our new puppies enjoyed a brisk early morning walk.

A busy day of play followed with frequent naps.
