Sunday, January 25
Today began in the usual way.
Mostly gray with a hint of pink.
But today's sunrise was going to be different.
It started slowly, but began to build.
A crescendo, a symphony of light and color...
Daybreak.
When the sunlight hits the tree tops, pictures just don't tell the story.
While the neighbors got out their toys,
we thought we would try to navigate our driveway.
This is as far as we got.
Seeing our plight, our next door neighbor came over to help plow us out.
The "roof avalanche" was poised and ready to cascade.
It looked like a frozen wave with teeth.
(Moments later, it let go and came crashing down.)
OK, when. That's enough snow. The cattle panels are completely hidden now.
No excuse. Back to work.
Three more panels in, and the poopies can now run free.
A quick game of "I've got the weed, and you don't."
And even with all this new space, they still act like it's puppy prison.
The day ended much as it began.
Mostly gray with a hint of pink...
