Goodbye snow, hello weeds.
While I spent most of the day at the local home improvement center,
the rugged mountain laddie explored the south 40.
What strange creatures had been burrowing under the snow and ice?
Yesterday, there were the sounds of a bird or two chirping.
A pair of honkers. (Canadian Geese.)
And one lonely frog, croaking about.
Tonight, the frog bog symphony is nearly deafening.

The Great Cavernous Cookie Receptacle.
