Thursday, April 1
The weather reports said the highs would be in the 60's today
with overnight lows in the upper 20's, and a chance of showers.
But nobody predicted this!
OK, I was just fooling.
It actually looked more like this...
It really was in the 20's, and did frost up a bit.
By 6 AM the sun had warmed the valley.
Rather pleasant once it gets above freezing.
Once again, this peacefulness was interrupted.
For the past several days now, I have been hearing this thumping sound
coming from downstairs. At first I thought it might be the water heater.
My curiosity peaked. I went downstairs to investigate...
Nope, not the water heater. The sound (thump, thump, tap, scratch)
was coming from the north side basement bedroom.
I slowly crept into the room...
Then thump, thump, tap, scratch!
It scared the daylights out of me!!!
This stupid bird was trying to fly through the window.
By the looks of the window, this D.B. (dumb bird) has been
at it for some time now. It is relentless.
I went outside and chased it away.
The bird flew to the top of a nearby tree and
squawked and chirped at me until I left.
Then he flew right back to the window well
and started banging into the window again.
Thump, thump, tap, scratch... dumb bird.
The days might be longer now than the nights,
but it still gets cool when the sun goes down.
After all the puffy white clouds and blue sky,
the daily dusk light show and all its colors.
Then the scene ends as it began.
Not much difference between 5 AM and 6 PM.
Fade to black...
