Lost Creek is still lost.

In spite of the mere trickle coming from the dam,
the lake seems to be receding a bit.

It is hard to tell with all the ice and snow.
But we are keeping an eye on it.

Is this a giant snow beetle?
An ice sculpture of a gnome with a handlebar moustache?

Nope. A windshield avalanche.

The Burb Saga continues...

The mechanic says burb #2 needs an engine and tranny.
That's not going to happen. Drove it back to my office.
It ran, but made lots of rattling noises.
The tranny shifted, sort of, but not very well.

Then, on the way home tonight, the engine let go.
It sounds like a blender grinding ice cubes. No, worse.
But I made it home...

So, here's the scorecard:
Burb #1: 2-wheel drive, no brakes.
Burb #2: 4X4, 7-cylinders, no tranny.
Burb #3: 4x4, partial tranny, rear-end damage.

Let's see, if we take engine and tranny #1,
no, that won't work, it's not the same tranny as the 4x4.
Hmmm, how about taking the brakes from #2 and ...
no, #1 is only 2-wheel drive. Hmmmm.
Looks like I'm using burb #3?

Today: -1.7 Total: -12.7
