Is this one of those above average, or below average,
seasonally precipitatious moments?
The Mrs. on the road to my office to bring me my lunch.
That was sweet of her.
I've been busy at work.
Last Saturday was the cutover to our new phone system.
I went in early and moved some systems around in the computer room.
I redistributed the power load and UPS boxes.
Then I rewired all of the phones and patch panels.
And that was all before 10 AM.
Then there was the phone switch cutover, and configuration changes,
and testing, debugging, consulting, and more testing...
I had to be in early each day this week to provide training and support
for all of our customer service, sales, and administrative staff.
Then I would stay late to install all of the change requests,
and repair the bugs. I wrote documentation, and ran backups.
A few "glitches" yet to deal with, and some new features to try.
Nearly 80 hours this week. But it all went well, with minimal down time.
So tonight, I made it back home before sunset.
The poopies were given some meaty bones as a treat.
Tomorrow, rain or shine, (preferably snow), we're going skiing.
