H a p p y N e w Y e a r !
Elijah had a few too many cookies.
After watching a few minutes of the Rose Parade,
and that perfect California weather,
it was time to get back to work.
Today's task is to install the deck board
closest to the house on the flashing, such that
the rest of the boards will line up straight.
After several measurements, and much fussing about,
nails and fasteners were inserted with great care.
Elijah is still sleeping it off...
The weatherman predicted a few flurries.
Sustained flakage covered the job site.
But the edge board is in place, and looks good.
