Brrrr....
A trace of new snow, and much colder.
The power plant is making steam.
A hint of pink to greet us, just before sunrise.
It's either 26 degrees below freezing,
or 6.3 of the other. (It's redundant to say above zero.)
And freezing is such a relative term.
Around here they just say it's below average.
Most of the nesting sites are still frozen.
The weeds are frozen.
Even the frost is frozen.
Not a spare twig anywhere.
The early birds are ready for spring to begin.
Several of them are waiting it out.
The rest are on strike until conditions improve.
Another fool moon...
