The weatherman said it would start out below freezing,
and might get up into the 40's late in the day.
Some fog, and a chance of showers all week...

Actually, it was 40 at 9 AM, and 50 by 10. Sunny.

Some snow still lingers, but this is a deck building type day.

If I waited a few more hours, all of this would just melt away.

But with the weatherman's promise that this will be the last time
that I will have to shovel this season, I thought it would be a
nice sentimental gesture. So, I shoveled...

Moments later, the deck was cleared and drying.

Tuned into an inspirational message from our local pastor.

Had some visitors. It is nice to live in the country.

A neighbor's dog came along for a walk.
The whole valley was a-bark. Seems friendly enough.

Bumper

The inspector says get to work.

So we did. Started on the west wing...

We weren't sure how to begin this next row.
But the Mrs. had a clever idea, and we went with it.

Some might think that these are less than ideal working conditions.
Snow on the ground, frozen planks, with hours of knee cracking,
back breaking, board bending, thumb smashing frustration.

Naw, this is fun. And the weather is perfect.

Took a short break to give the girl a good brushing.

Tink, the Inspector, wanted some affection, too.

She'll rear up on her hind legs to meet your hand.
It's as if she is petting you.

Another 7 planks installed. That's a good day.
