Green returns to the valley.
The lake seems to be shrinking.
And so is the lumber pile. Needed a few more planks...
It was a little cramped in the cockpit,
but we saved a bunch on the delivery charges.
The weatherman had predicted that it would be
getting much colder again today and into tonight,
with temps well below freezing and the possibility
of some snow showers in the upper elevations.
OK, April Fools. Good one. Ha, ha...
Moments later, we had the wood pile unloaded.
But the sky was looking a little dark.
So we decided not to stain the planks today.
The sun came back out, and it was time to
take a few baby pictures.
Little Dude
Martha did not enjoy the separation one bit,
and let the whole valley know about it.
Little Dude was returned to his mother.
The sheep clan made sure of it.
Hardly seemed like deck building weather.
But we cut a few planks and put them in.
Had to round a few corners, and used up some of the
damaged or otherwise not-so-pretty planks.
President of the "Measure Once, Cut Twice Club".
An interesting cut. This piece wrapped around the spa.
We now have some deck to stand on.
We can't wait to be done with this project,
so we can spend our weekends just enjoying this view.
That's enough fun for one day.
Except for throwing a couple steaks on the BBQ,
and jumping into the spa under a full moon.
For some added luxury, we dumped in some home-made
Dead Sea Bath Salts with our favorite fragrance, Lavender.
Beautiful, clear skies, the stars are out, and not chilly at all.
Yeah right, snow...
