Got up early after several power outages during the night. Had one at 2:15am and another at 8:30am.
It snowed all night. Some areas got rain last night. Not us. We got snow and more snow. Our friends, the O'Neals,
got slushy snow all day. But we got light fluffy powder. We are only like 8 miles away from one another. Must mean
we are at a higher elevation than they are. At any rate, we got snow. Likely 18". When I went outside to take these pictures,
the snow was well above my boots. They are at least 18" high.
Couldn't get out of the driveway for church without plowing. That took all day. Got stuck in the snow 4 times.

Sisi Bear likes to lay in the snow...she must be the wackiest dog ever!

Uhum. So does Elijah. And I thought he had such intelligence!

These are views of the snow accumulation from under the deck.

This is the pile of snow that has slidden off of the barn roof since the season started.
You should see the view from inside the puppies' kennel. The snow is pushing the cattle panel fence inward
because of the massive accumulation.

More snow shots

We decided that the snowblower was needed to get the snow off of the deck.
But last time I tried to use it the blades wouldn't turn. My buddie Connie
suggested that maybe the mechanism was frozen. So we moved the snowblower inside to thaw it out.
Sure enough, it started right up and blades worked.

Prior to snowblowing, I had the rugged mountain teens clear a path for the machine to follow.
Look how deep that snow is on the deck! And aren't they cute?

Since I was behind the snowblower and the tractor for most of the day, I didn't get any after shots.
Tomorrow, I promise. And oh by the way, it's Ashley's 16th birthday tomorrow!
After all was said and done, the news notified us that all of the schools in both Spokane County and Kootenai
County were closed for tomorrow. Wonderful. Another missed day of work for me. I'm beginning to hate winter!
