No school today. Ashley is certain they called off school to celebrate her birthday!
Ok, before I go on my walk, here are the photos I shot in my slippers from the deck.
After we shoveled and snowblew(sp?) and cleared the driveway, another 2 inches of snow fell.
So, I guess I'll be back at it today.
The news reports this is the most snow we have received since 1993 when Spokane got 14" of snow.
Spirit Lake, just north of us, got 22" so it makes sense that my guess-timation of 18" is likely accurate.
Over to the left of the picture is a pile of snow that represents both the
snow that has fallen, plus the snow that has slidden off the roof. We didn't
even attempt to shovel or blow it. It was just too much. I might try today.
Happy birthday sushi dinner at our new favorite, Ding How.
And homemade from scratch Chocolate Blackout Cake right out of Cook's Magazine.
Three layer chocolate cake, chocolate pudding for frosting and crumbled up chocolate cake all over the top and sides.
As Rachael Ray says: YUM-O! But wow, very rich. A sliver is plenty!
Since I plowed most of the day, I'll put today's walk pictures up for tomorrow. The weatherman forecasts another 6-18"
of snow beginning at 1:00 in the morning of the 29th.
