Remember that snowblowing I did? Well, the truth of the matter is the snowblower needs some work. The left handle
controls the movement, forward or back. It has a lever that you hold down to engage the movement. So far so good.
The right handle has a lever that controls the blade rotation and thus snow blowing. There is a cable that feeds up to
the handle from the blade assembly. In order for the blades to rotate, this cable needs to be taut. Ours is not. So
in order to make the blades rotate, I had to pull hard on the cable with my right hand while squeezing the left lever to go forward.
Because the snow was so deep and some of it was icy, the forward motion was rough at times and I had to use brut force (my thighs)
to push the blower forward through the icy snow. And my prize for having toughed it out besides a clean deck?

Bruised thigh. Getting more purple by the hour. Very lovely color I might add!

OK, here comes the snow pictures from my walk yesterday. I couldn't decide which to leave out
so I didn't leave many out at all. Sorry for those of you who don't like snowy scenery!

Our driveway...

This is scary. The snow that has slidden off the barn roof is so much that is it pushing against the cattle panel
and chicken wire fence in the puppy kennel.

Number 1 on the left and #5 (Abraham) on the right.

That's number 3 being shy. I swear his eyes were opened when I took the shot!

Pretty soon that snow will be all the way up to the roof!

This is a 48" high cattle panel along side the road. We've had some snow this year!

I think Nefertiti's brain is growing. Or maybe she's turning into Alien!

And sweet Joey.

Jim's favorite photo cove.

Me, getting artsy...

Overhead power lines, snow coated!

I'll finish today, tomorrow...

So, today we got another 6 or so inches of snow. And before I even got home from work the radio announnced
the school was closed for tomorrow, again. So this time I'm prepared. Ashley will go to her ranch job and Spencer
will come to work with me unless he can find someone else to hang out with. I'm not missing work again!

Another snowy day.

Oh, and more snow plowing. This time when I got stuck in the powdery snow my friendly neighbor, Ron Espen, pulled
me out with his truck. He is smart. His tires have chains on them!
This is not a picture of me stuck, this is a picture of me actually moving snow. I think I got stuck after this photo was taken.

Oh, and Ashley's boyfriend was over tonight. He drives a little car of some sort. His car got stuck in our driveway. Spencer, Ashley
and I pushed and pushed but could not get the car unstuck so I used the tractor to push his car out of the snow and then
I had to plow the driveway even smoother because his car wouldn't make it up our driveway without it. He finally made it after all.
