Another 1 or 2 inches. Not quite the 4 to 6 predicted.
Ground Hog Day.
Punxsutawney Phil might have seen his shadow,
but The Rugged Mountain Woman did not.
We'll be lucky if winter only lasts six more weeks.
It was nice to enjoy our morning walk again.
This serenity and beauty is momentarily disrupted by
enthusiasts of a different sort. Here they come...
The noise dissipates within a few seconds.
The exhaust lingers for several minutes. (hak, cough ...)
The Mrs. has done wonders with the poopies.
What used to be a feeding frenzy, kibble chaos, and munchy madness,
has been brought under control.
Now the beasties must sit and wait patiently until
the food is at least dumped into their dish.
The next phase will be to make them wait
until your hand is safely out of the way.
Elijah thinks that's a howl.
I promise to finish the spa deck,
just as soon as I can get up these stairs.
But first, now that we have found the propane tank,
... we needed to cut a path to it so that we can get it filled.
We took turns trying to muscle the snow blower.
But that proved to be too much work.
We solicited the aid of some fresh arms and backs
to dig out the remaining several feet.
We cleared off the spa deck.
What's this, sunshine?
Yes! Let there be shadows!
Still well below freezing, so don't expect a major thaw.
Unless you are talking about some steaks.
Now that the deck is all cleared off,
and the driveway is navigable,
they are predicting another 8 to 12 inches tonight...
