Not quite tropical weather just yet.
Good news: The snow is off the roof.
Bad news: It's on the deck.

Below freezing again last night.
The driveway is still very slippery.
So, I salted and sanded it.

After waiting 10 minutes for one train,
a second train came through.

Seven engines. Must have been 150 cars.

Blaring his horn (as if we didn't see him).

2 MPH ... 3 MPH ... 4 MPH ...
We were a little late for church.

The poopies got out again. Waltzed right over the gate.
OK, time to get serious. Fire up the tractor.
While the Rugged Mountain folk dug out the gate,
I cut a path to meet them.

The biggest problem was where to put all of the snow.

After getting a big scoop, I had to back up,
and find someplace along the driveway to dump it.

We decided to remove the rear blade to make it easier to navigate.

Finally broke through the gate to the south 40...

We had to clear an area inside the gate wide enough to turn around in.

I took a lunch break, and so the Mrs. gave it a go.

She had half the fence cleared in no time.

I think the tractor is more fun than a shovel.

It was my turn again, and we pushed towards the corner.

Moments later, we had done dug a ditch.

Elijah got busy marking his new territory.
(That, or looking for a new way out.)

Went to pick up Ashley from her job at JD's Ranch,
and spotted this small herd of elk.
