Yet another day off for the rugged mountain teens. I'm just as happy
since I need to balance the books and pull all the tax stuff together.
Ashley and Spencer both have projects they are working on for school. Spencer's is due in March.
He is building a model of the Globe Theater. More on that as it progresses.
Ashley's is much more pressing, due tomorrow. It's not that she procrastinated, she told me about it a while ago.
It's that neither of us could figure out how to fabricate a cookie puppet. No, not the edible variety. We KNOW how
to make those. No, this is a hand puppet that's a cookie for an upcoming puppet show her class is putting on for
the elementary school about good nutrition. So I did what I always do when I have no idea how to do something...
What's that verb? Yes, I googled it! I found a website that has step by step how-tos for everything, including puppet making.
First you draw your figure on the material and cut it out.
Then sew around it and turn it right side out.
Then you put a mouth in it and glue it in with hot glue.
Ashley wanted him to have funky looking hair and big eyes.
Can't forget the chocolate chips...
TA DA!
