Still plenty of snow at the ranch. It is starting to melt.
Then it puddles in the driveway and freezes again overnight.

The deck is clearing itself.

All except for this pile.

Smokie, (AKA: Fat Girl, Side-Kick, and other names...)
remains loyal, even though we have stopped feeding her.
She survives just fine on rodents and the occasional bird.

These are starting to looks more like stairs, and not a ski slope.

Today's project, Jim, is to fix the heated driver's seat.
(No, wait. Not the "heated driver", the driver's seat heater...)

Some on-line research found a group of people with the same problem,
and a few that had a solution. They say it's a broken wire between
the heating elements. Most were surprised that it didn't catch fire.

After removing the seat cover, we found the melted wire.

Followed the simple wiring diagram provided, and tested
continuity between the yellow and purple wires.

Spliced the two melted ends together, and voila.
The Mrs. will finally have toasted buns on her way to work.

The beast needed a good bath.

It only takes a few days of slushy roads to get crusted over.

So, we pre-soaked, high pressure soaped, soapy brushed, high pressure rinsed,
then my favorite, the triple soak conditioner...
It comes out in a series of rainbow colors. Very cool.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

This behemoth uses a lot of quarters. (Actually, they take debit cards.)
Stay as long as you like.
The car wash owner, Barbara, was very pleased to have us stop by.

But it is worth it. A clean machine is a happy machine.

I had heard about a suspected arson fire near my old job.
Turns out to be the plumbing building next door.
These were the guys that installed the plumbing for the chillers,
and air conditioning systems for the digital presses.
They had moved out, so the building was vacant at the time.

Picked up a few bales of hay for the sheepies.
Yikes! $13.50 per bale? Ouch!
Lots of snow on top, but it is melting fast.

There might still be one more weekend of skiing in our future.

Temps dropping fast. Down to 14 F. The driveway is freezing up already.

Spencer has a project to finish.
This will be a model of the Globe Theatre.
