Up early today. Got there at O'dark:30.
My first day of work in the new building.
My shift starts at 6 AM. I had expected to find everything
all set up for me, with the exception of a few software tools.
Instead, I found a PC tower, a keyboard and mouse, and two
video monitors still in their boxes. And no phone.
After some assembly, a little scrounging (procurement),
and a few emails, I was able to get what I needed to work.
Not a bad setup. Dual heads-up displays, and a comfy chair.
It even has that "new cube" smell, with just a hint of banana.
It seems strange to put in an 8-hour day, and to be home at night.
(Or the afternoon.) Only to find it snowing. (Weren't we all done?)
They said we might get another 6-10 inches,
but without much accumulation. (There "they" go again.)
Looks like BBQ weather to me.
Yup. Still snowing. And getting deeper.
