It rained most of the night.
The driveway is flooded again.
The creek is flowing rapidly.
And this isn't even the snow melt.
Although, it is melting a little.
I know that if I wait long enough,
I won't have to shovel this pile.
The Rugged Mountain Woman walks on water.
(But discovered this morning that she cannot walk on ice.)
She slipped on the ice and nearly broke her tailbone.
Some things just will not wait until spring.
This lake has got to go.
So I borrowed the pump from the basement,
and set it into the puddle.
Even if this works, it will take hours, perhaps days...
I rigged up some hoses, and partially submerged the pump.
Power was applied, and now we have pumpage.
The poopies guard the sheep.
Wish they would guard the poor pine tree.
Looks like some more weather is on its way.
Or just another pretty sunset.
The subtle changes and the many textures of this view
are worth standing out in the cold and waiting for...
