It snowed all night. And it's still snowing now...
Looks pretty deep.
Seriously, folks. BBQ weather.
The rugged mountain snow depth measurement device says about 16".
The Seedy Cafe is doing a brisk business.
All the regulars are here.
"I shoulda turned left at Albuquerque."
Tink surveys the scene.
She has that look again.
The little birdies just aren't safe around here.
The sheepies haven't moved much.
It's starting to accumulate.
Some of the drifts are several feet deep.
If this keeps up, I'm going to have to shovel the deck again.
The Mrs. has an appointment and some errands to run.
So it looks like I am going to have to plow again.
But first, I have to fix the tractor.
The "Pull to Stop" thingy is rusted.
Oh, and I have to attach the back blade.
The Mrs. shoveled a few feet off the deck to get some pictures.
Moments later, I'm plowing, again.
There's an art to this process.
How do you bury a pile of snow?
It was light and fluffy on top, wet and slushy underneath.
That made it stick to the bucket.
The good news it that the driveway is plowed.
The bad news is that I dug up a lot of gravel,
and it will take hours to repair the damage.
(But that will have to wait until "spring".)
The snow slid off the barn roof.
This pile is about 8' deep. Should last until June.
The deck project will have to wait until next weekend...
The stairs were a good idea. (Last summer.)
The sun broke out briefly.
Went for a hike into the South 40.
My trusty poopies guarded me the whole way.
For me the snow was only knee deep.
For them, it was up to their chests.
It's a pretty sight with blue sky.
Ruthie trying to run.
They can move quickly by jumping over the snow.
Meanwhile, back at the feeder...
Here's Hairy.
Yup, more snow.
It stopped again just long enough for the sunset.
It's been a long day.
