Another dusting overnight.

Watch the birdie.

Look closer.

It's our Red Crossbill.

There's a strange glow in the sky.
No. Could it be? Sunshine? Nope.
Travel day for the Rugged Mountain Teen (spencus newmanus)

Race to the crossing.

The river is full.

Trains over head.

Snow at the airport.

Can you see the control tower? Can they?

The white zone is for loading and unloading only.
They had to de-ice the plane.

Some local landmarks on the way back home.

This was disturbing. Until I realized that it was a doll.

The office.

The Peterbilt dealership.

The bike trail across the river.

Selling tractors today must be like selling boats.

Looks like more snow on top.

What's this? A break in the weather?

Cassin's Finch (carpodacus cassinii) male.

A Spotted Towhee (pipilo maculatus) male, I think.

Our Red Crossbill.

And friend.

The sheepies haven't moved from this spot for six months.
(Watch your step.)

Bubba.

Checked on our propane supply.
Was hoping we would only have to fill up once more this year. D'oh!

It's still cold enough that we need to heat the house.

Now that the sun is coming out, decided that today
would be a good day to drain and refill the spa.

I just have to find it first.

No, silly, not the spa, a hose.

Started draining at about 2 PM.

I ran a hose in preparation for the refilling part.

I broke down and actually started shoveling.

I cleared a path so that we might actually be able to get to the spa without boots.

Tink appreciates the effort.

Deck cleared. Spa drained. Filters cleaned.

Fill 'er up! Idaho tap. Pure, granite filtered.

It's a slow process. It only comes out so fast.

Filled. (Finally.)

And fifty. (50 degrees F. That's 10 C.)

Sidekick does not care much for snow.

There is more snow coming.

All of that beautiful gravel work, destroyed.
It's going to need another load or two...
